Erik Hatcher is an open source developer, Apache Software Foundation member, and one of the Founders of Lucid Imagination, which is a commercial company that focuses solely on Lucene and Solr technologies. Take a look on this article http://www.thebitsource.com/2009/10/18/erik-hatcher-on-apache-lucene-and-solr-search-applications/

Hi Grant,
Nice article! A couple of points you may want to consider:

* Min build spec for example is JDK 1.6 not JDK 1.5 as per instructions
* Could be worth mentioning that user location input criteria need not always require geocoding from text now that HTML 5 provides standardised API access to user location (currently supported on iPhone OS3, firefox 3.5, Android.....)

Cheers,
Mark
